Monthly favourites - August

The things I have been loving this month ..

My favourite Apps -
Sleep Cycle alarm clock, an intelligent alarm clock that analyses your sleep and wakes you in the lightest sleep phase during a 30 minute window, monitoring your movement during sleep using the extremely sensitive accelerometer in your iphone. It's really fun and interesting to see your pattern of sleep, you can also do things like take your heart rate as you wake up!
Cameo - It easily allows you to create beautiful short films, 6 seconds at a time, and has some really cool effects!
My favourite Tv shows -
Finding carter - The series was created by Emily Silver, and stars Kathyrn Prescott as Carter, a young teenage girl whose life is turned upside-down when it is discovered that the woman she thought was her mother had abducted her when she was just a toddler.
Chasing life - follows twenty-something April (Italia Ricci), a smart and quick-witted aspiring journalist, who is trying to work her way up the ladder at a Boston newspaper by trying to impress her hard-nosed editor. April tries to balance her ambitious career with her family – her widowed mom Sara, rebellious little sister Brenna and her grandmother. Just as things start to look up at work, home and on the romance front, April gets the devastating news from an estranged uncle that she has cancer.

Amazed and surprised

Sometimes life throws you lemons and other times it gives you sunshine!
I am continually amazed and surprised at how generous and supportive people can be. Below are some of the gifts I got while working at Aberdeen Art Gallery for the last 4 weeks. It was lovely to see so many families turn up and partisapate, working together, designing, sewing and making. People of all ages attended from 8week old babies to 85 year old grandpas and everyone Inbetween, fabulous to see and be a part of! It was also great to get such wonderful feedback. Thank you x
