I was recently involved in decorating a cat statue for 'CatParade'
The purpose of the CatParade was to:
Raise funds for UNICEF, CLAN and Denis Law Legacy Trust's Streetsport Initiative
Involve the local business and arts community
Recognise 100 years of Rotary International in Aberdeen
The project involved replicas of the Kelly’s Cat Statues, which adorn the parapet of Union Bridge, being transformed into unique works of art. The cats are synonymous with Aberdeen’s strong pride.
An exhibition was run from the 1st to the 27th of September in the Union Bridge windows of Waterstones.
The CatParade concluded with an exhibition and then an auction of the decorated Cats at a prestigious event on 28th September 2016 at The Marcliffe Hotel.
Here are some photos of my contribution, she was called 'TAT CAT'
I really enjoyed the whole process.

Making snow globes
How to make a snow/ dog globe .....
Key tips : make sure your jar opening and length is big enough to fit in what you want to feature in your snow globe.
Get a jar with a seal tight lid or glue the lid closed after you are finished with sealant glue
Use the lid to sick your objects on as its easier to glue to.
Build up the lid to raise your objects up so you can see them when it's all put together
Use plasticine!!!!! it works both to build up a little hill for your objects to sit on and acts like glue to hold them in place. It also works well in the water.
Dry snow globes ( ones with no water, just snow ) look just as good!!
You must use distilled/ bottled water NOT tap water as it goes mouldy pretty quickly!
Some of the mini trees you buy make the water turn green, go for plastic if you don't want that to happen.
Any thing goes even little plastic dogs - which you can spray paint any colour.
Shake it up!!

Being creative with cement
My new project this week was making cement pots and phone chargers in different shapes and sizes. It was pretty hard work and took a lot longer than I imagined but it was also a lot of fun. I'm selling them at the Christmas village market and maybe other places too.

Seventeen
I really enjoyed being able to create a piece of art for the public to come and pertisipant in at 'seventeen' creative hub, Belmont street, as part of the 'open doors' day in Aberdeen. The art piece was in responce to an exhibition that was going on 'A to from B' the idea was that I would create a line going from A to B taking you on a journey. The public got involved and tied a bag or two (recycled) to the chicken wire structure in doing so they become part of the journey. Each of the two artists involved in 'A to from B' drew a virtual line which was put together to create the line I used.
